A few words about me, Joseph Raymond Roy (Joe Roy): I'm a marketing consultant and
freelance writer
with 43 years of business experience. I've taught marketing metrics for 16 years, to people in marketing, advertising and public relations. This knowledge enabled them to prove they were profitable and to become more profitable. My clients have included companies of all sizes, from tiny medical clinics to global manufacturers. Sorry, no names: these companies emphatically do not want any publicity on this topic. They don't want to let their competitors know about their "secret weapons," and I am under contract not to tell. It is almost certain that your program is profitable right now. Of course, I don't know the specifics of your program, so I can't be completely certain. But I do know that I've examined more than 400 marketing, advertising and PR programs, and all but two paid for themselves. Most of the programs returned at least 200 percent over their cost (that is to say, an ROI of 200 percent). Several smaller programs returned more than 1,000 percent, and a few returned 5,000 percent. Even the two unprofitable programs could have been made profitable through fine-tuning. That's why I am perennially enthusiastic about marketing metrics, and that's why I built this site. I wanted to simplify marketing metrics so as to make it accessible to more people.
